Last summer, Lonnie Hackett ’14 received a Thomas Andrew McKinley ’06 Entrepreneur Grant Fund. His plan was to travel to Africa to provide medical services and health education to Zambian children. Join Lonnie to hear how he turned a $5,000 grant into $14,000 and created a non-profit organization that now works with over 14,000 children and will continue to carry out his work for years to come. His talk will also tell the stories of the people served by his organization and will touch on some of the major health challenges facing the developing world. If you are interested in public health, international development, nonprofit work, entrepreneurship, and funded internships you won’t want to miss Lonnie’s presentation.
